EXTR:ACT’s founding members comprise two liquid packaging board producers and three beverage carton converters representing roughly 90% of the European beverage carton market. Our existing members are committed to collectively taking actions to scale up the recycling of their packaging to ensure a sustainable approach and helping to drive the circular economy in Europe.
Change can be further accelerated through collaboration with the entire paper-based multi-material industry. By working together, we can ensure recycling takes place at scale so that we can contribute to a truly circular economy. National Associations:
There are eight national associations representing the beverage carton industry across Europe. EXTR:ACT, as the European platform for coordination and adjustment, works in close cooperation with these associations, involved in and supporting their collection, sorting and recycling activities. In addition, all regional representatives of ACE and its members are closely involved in EXTR:ACT’s activities as well as being part of the Recycling Coordination Group.
